UK cover art for Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson's THE GATHERING STORM

Looks good, no question.

But as crazy as it sounds, regardless of the fact that many are downright crappy, I will always have a soft spot for Darrell K. Sweet's covers in my heart. . .:-)

I agree, just not the same without Darrell K. Sweet.

I am looking forward to reading this book. But I think I will have to re-read the series to get into it. I love Sanderson's work as well, so I expect he did a fine job.

Butt-ugly cover. I mean, how much totally non-relevant text is it possible to put on a book cover? With something like 8 different fucking fonts.

The Sweet covers are horrible in their own way, but I prefer any single one of them to this.

so true, any idea if they might print a darrel sweet alternative cover?

I would rather have a plain cover than something by Sweet...

Seriously, they should reprint all the books with natural undyed parchment for covers. No pictures or graphics, just rubber stamp the name and author right in the middle.
Light years better than any cover for this series.

You going to admit that you were wrong about what the cover would be? Twice? And being about a dick about leaking the picture in the first place?

So true, I've grown fond Sweet's cover art, they might not be that beautiful but at least their unique . The Orbit's cover were just too plain and uninspiring.

Word.: I didn't leak the cover. It had already been leaked and passed around the internet. I was just one of a number of people who posted it.

Secondly, you should read the entire post before commenting. That way, you'd know that this is the UK cover art, not the US one.

But I am indeed a dick. . .

The 'proper' Sweet cover, according to Sanderson, is the same as the one posted a couple of months back, except Rand is now facing the reader and not doing a weird dance.

It will be, naturally, still crap.
